The soil

An altered form of magmatic rock called ‘gabbro’ is
the key to the exceptional depth of these wines. Vines
are South-west oriented.

Production

concentrate of fruit and minerality.

Vinification and ageing

Manual harvesting in the best conditions. Immediate
pneumatic pressing. Grape juice received by gravity
without pumping. Fermentation lasts 20 days withi temperature control. Aeration on the second day of
fermentation to multiply the indigenous yeasts. Aged

RVF green guide 2025-2026

“After 218 months (over 18 years) on its lees, it’s finally available for sale! A rich, aged bouquet with notes of hazelnut, full-bodied. The umami combined with that final hint of bitterness – drawn from the gabbro, the rare rock of Gorges – is simply incredible! A surprisingly youthful character.”

— Alexis Goujard from La Revue des Vins de France
